Mr Bruno Umba Dindelo Member of the Board Dindelo@coopcongo.com | Bruno Umba Dindelo, Born in Congo (DRC) matriculated in Kinshasa before embarking to study International Relations at the University of Lubumbashi (DRC). He later completed a Master Degree in Diplomatic Studies at the University of Pretoria in 2006. He has accumulated a vast experience working as an academic in DRC and South Africa, as an advisor to various Ministers in DRC, as a development practitioner promoting civil society participation in poverty reduction policies in the SADC region and currently as an Expert in Transport and Trade facilitation in DRC and the Southern Africa region. He has written many publications in areas such as politics, security, civil society and regional integration. He is married and have five children. He fluently speaks French and English. Ir Dody Mantuba Ngwema Member of the Board mantuba@coopcongo.com | Ir Dody Mantuba Ngwema was born in Kinshasa (DRC), he completed his primary education at Complexe Scolaire Makaya-Lezi in Boma (DRC, 1989) and his secondary education at Technical Professional Institute of Nzadi in Boma (DRC, 1996). He obtained his Polytechnic Preparatory Certificate at the University of Kinshasa (UNIKIN) and competed his Electro-Mechanical Engineering studies at Institut Superieur des Techniques Appliques, ISTA (Kinshasa DRC) in 2002. He is specialised in access control, CCTV and properties’ maintenance and management. He has been the owner of DoTech Vision in South Africa since 2010. He had occupied various positions and gained experience in different technical and management positions on Mining Equipment Maintenance in South Africa and DRC. His professional career includes several consultancy projects in the mining industry in the DRC. He is currently in the role of Facilities Manager at Citibank in the DRC. Mr Felix Ndundu Mbono Member of the Board Mbono@coopcongo.com | Ir Mbono was born in DRC, completed his primary education before obtaining his secondary school’s senior certificate with major in Agriculture and then continued with a 4 year’s training at Bengamisa Advanced Institute of Agricultural Studies (ISEA, Bengamisa – DRC). He holds an Agronomist degree (Bsc Agric) with research on “Animal Nutrition in Commercial farming: Feed Composition from local feed components – Use of specified leguminous as components for Animal Feed composition: Livestock and Poultry”. Ir Mbono also spent Two Months training at University of Pretoria (Faculty of Veterinary Science) on Commercial Poultry farming: Broiler and Layer. His professional experience include being a lecturer at Agricultural & Veterinary School of Kabutare Butare (Rwanda, 1996 – 1998), a Project Manager for Commercial Farming – Crop (Vegetable production) (1998-2009) at Afisdep-Community Development in Dennilton, Mpumalanga (RSA), a Business Development Officer (Part-time) at Bespro Capenses 402 (Pty) Ltd (Grobersdal, South Africa, 2002 – 2006), a Business Development and Packaging Manager (November 2008 to March 2011) at Wolves Den Farming in Marble Hall (South Africa), a Field Irrigation Technology Manager at UNIE-TECH (Pty) Ltd Trading (2011-2013, South Africa), and a Consultant in Livestock nutrition for the Government of Namibia.(2015). Ir Mbono is also the Managing Director of Mbono Wellspring Agribusiness (Pty) Ltd since 2012. He has participated in various professional conferences and seminars in the African continent. Mrs Francine Nsingi Mpasa Member of the Board Fmpasa@coopcongo.com | Mrs Mpasa was born in Kinshasa (DRC). She attended her primary school at Lycee Bosangani and her secondary school at Lycee Kimwenza in Kinshasa(DRC). She then obtained a National Diploma in Banking and Finance from the National School of Banking and Finance Administration (1988). She augmented her knowledge through Damelin College (Pretoria, RSA) with a Diploma in Bookkeeping (1999), Diploma in Payroll Administration (2000), Diploma in Practical Accounting (2003) and Certificate in Financial Management (2004). She also obtained a Certificate in Practical Bookkeeping and Accounting from the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers-South Africa (2003). She then completed a Bachelor of Technology Degree (Honours) in Business Administration at the University Of South Africa (UNISA) in 2011. She has many certificates and participated in many professional trainings through various stages of her career. Her professional career started at the French Embassy (Kinshasa, DRC) as a Membership Officer (1989-1992) and then as Secretary Accountant (1992 -1999). She worked as a freelancer in South Africa as an Assistant Accountant at Pretoria Hotel (2001-2002), Financial Support Officer at Studentwise Marketing (2002-2003), Grants and Accounts Reconciliation Officer at Landehlhani Recruitment (2003) and Creditors Reconciliation Officer at Primercure (2003). Since December 2003 to date, she has occupied various positions at Habitat for Humanity International : Assistant Accountant for Africa and Middle East (December 2003-July 2007), Senior Accountant for Africa and Middle East (August 2007- July 2009), Regional Finance Specialist for Africa & Middle East for selected countries (August 2009- August 2012), Grants Compliance and Donor Reporting Specialist for Europe, Middle East and Africa Region (September 2012-September 2016), Regional Grants Manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa Region (October 2016 – September 2018) and then Grants Compliance and Donor Reporting Manager for Habitat for Humanity International Global since October 2018. Mr Francois Butedi Member of the Board Bitumba@coopcongo.com | Mr. Nzolani Francois Butedi, Born in DRC, completed his primary and secondary education before obtaining his LLB degree in Judiciary and Civil Law from University of Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He then obtained his LLM degree in Human Rights and Constitutional Practices from University of Pretoria in South Africa. He has an extensive work experience in the fields of human rights, elections, peace-building, women empowerment, conflict analysis and prevention. He is very knowledgeable of civil society organizations and their participation in the transitional governance in countries emerging from conflict, particularly in the Southern African and central Africa regions. He respectively served as Regional expert on Governance, Peace and Security of the Southern African Development Community – Council of Non-Governmental Organizations (SADC-CNGOs) in Botswana and Programme Manager: Democracy and Governance of SADC-Lawyers ‘Association in South Africa. He was a Senior Electoral and Post Conflict Reconstruction & Development Officer at the African Union Liaison Office of Madagascar and Comoros (2013-2018). He was in charge of electoral affairs, human rights, reconciliation process and peacebuilding initiatives. Mr. Nzolani Francois Butedi is currently the Political and Analyst Advisor of the United Nations – Resident Coordinator in Madagascar (July 2018 Up-to-date). Mr Hylde Lukovi Seke Member of the Board Seke@coopcongo.com | Mr Seke was Born in Bukavu (DRC), and attended his primary education at EP. Nyali (Katanga), EP Muanda Cite (Kongo Central). He then went through the secondary education at Kangu/Mayombe Seconday School (ESEKA), Institut Bwindi (Bukavu, Kivu) and College St Raphael (Former ITC Limete, Kinshasa). He obtained the Equivalent of an Honor’s degree in Mathematical Economics from the University of Kinshasa (2002), before embarking for a Master’s degree in Economics with specialization in Trade and Investment at the University of Pretoria (RSA, 2009). He is currently a PHD Candidate in Science and Technology Studies. He has attended several trainings and workshops related to Youth (1998-2007), Human Rights (2003-2015), Economics, Science-Technology-Innovation Studies (2005 to date). He holds memberships at the Economic Society of South Africa (ESSA, 2011 to date) and Hope Espoir RDC (DRC, 2015 to date) Having worked at Groupe Scolaire Dibwe dia Ditumba as the Admin and Finance Secretary (1992-1994), at RTGA as the Webmanager/master and “Redacteur en Chef” Electronic Journals/News (1999-2005), as a Tutor in Economics (University of Pretoria: 2005-2007), he has been at the African Union organisation – NEPAD for the past 12 years (2007 to date) As a volunteer, he served as the Chairperson of the SADC Youth Movement (DRC Chapter: 2003-2007), Chairperson SADC Youth Movement UP Chapter (2006-2007), Ember Church as well as the Contact Person YES Global Network (2002-2005), Mentor of YALI fellows in RSA through the Centre for Africa Leadership and more. Dr. Jerome Lilombe Bitumba Member of the Board Bitumba@coopcongo.com | Dr. Jérôme Lilombe Yangu BITUMBA was Born in Kinshasa (DRC); He completed his primary school at St Paul (Barumbu, DRC, 1974) and his high school at Collège Boboto (Kinshasa, DRC 1980). He then completed his undergraduate medical degree at the University of Kinshasa (UNIKIN, MBChB) in 1986, after which he obtained a Master’s degree in Medicine Anaesthesiology (MMed Anaes) in 1997 at the Medical University of Southern Africa (MEDUNSA), RSA. His work experience include an Assistantship at the Department of Anaesthesiology and Reanimation at the Kinshasa University Hospital (DRC, January 1988 to November 1991), a Registrar’s post in the department of Anaesthesiology, Medical University of Southern Africa (MEDUNSA), RSA (March 1993 to November 1997), a Junior Lecturer/Consultant position in the Department of Anaesthesiology at MEDUNSA /Ga-Rankuwa Hospital (December 1997 Dec 1998), a full time private practitioner as a Specialist Anaesthetist (Pretoria and Johannesburg/RSA, January 1999 to February 2005), a position of Senior Lecturer/Principal Specialist/Head Clinical Unit, department of Anaesthesiology MEDUNSA /SMU (name change SMU : Sefako Makgatho Medical Sciences University) from March 2005 to March 2017 with the responsibility of managing operating theatres, undergraduate and postgraduate trainings and human resources in the department. From April 2017 to date, Dr Bitumba is a full-time private practitioner in various private hospitals of Pretoria, RSA. His memberships include SAMA (South African Medical Association), SASA (South African Society of Anaesthesiologists), SAMLA (South African Medico-Legal Association), and he is a director at Umoja Surgical Solutions Africa NPC (Registered, not yet operational). Dr Bitumba’s is a volunteer in a number of initiatives; since 2008, he participates in “Operation Smile” in DRC and RSA (free surgery for cleft lip and palate). In 2014, he became a board member of Operation Smile DRC branch of OSSA (Operation Smile South Africa, the Regional Office for Operation Smile). In 2015, he Volunteered for charity work in Lubumbashi Smile in DRC consisting of free surgery for repair of obstetrical fistula (VVF). Since 2016 to date, he serves as the Chairperson of Congo Matric, A social organisation/event to support and celebrate Congolese children who achieved their senior certificate(matriculation). Since 2016 to date, he also lends his support to Congolese Students Organisations namely CSO-TUT Congolese students Organisation (Tshwane University of Technology) and UP-DRC (University of Pretoria) for their respective students’ performance recognitions and award ceremonies. In March 2019, he was selected as the Chairperson of the Health Awareness Program at the French Catholic Community of Pretoria, based at Catholic Cathedral of Pretoria. Mrs. Josine Umba Dindelo Member of the Board Jdindelo@coopcongo.com | Mrs Josine Umba Dindelo (née Muke) was born in in Brussels, Belgium. After completing her primary and secondary High School in DRC, she moved to South Africa where she pursued academic and professional learning programmes including advanced secretariat and linguistic studies as well as trainings on Protocol, Leadership and Etiquette. She joined the Royal Thai Embassy in 1997 where she is currently coordinating stakeholders engagements. She has been involved in many community centered activities in South Africa and in DRCongo to uplift her fellow citizen’s lives. She is married and mother of 5 children. Ir Luc Mbuyi Kashala Member of the Board Kashala@coopcongo.com | Dr Kashala was Born in Kolwezi (DRC); He carried his Primary Education at the Catholic school EP Kilima (Likasi), his Secondary Education at W.Shepard College in Mbujimayi and his University degree from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Lubumbashi (DRC). He is a dedicated Medical General Practitioner, working in family medicine (Private and Public health sector). Currently committed in evangelization and interested in theology and philosophy of Christian Catholic faith. He is Married with two children. Dr Mark Pululu Mpasa Executive Chairperson mpasa@coopcongo.com | Dr Mpasa was born in DRC, completed his primary and secondary education in DRC, his degrees at the University of Lubumbashi (DRC), Unisa (RSA) and the University of Pretoria (RSA). He has built a professional career over 20 years through Kitomesa Farm in DRC, the South African Post Office, IBM South Africa, Tri-Continental-UK, T-Voli Africa, Ikusasa Technology Solutions and Kisalu Consulting in RSA. He volunteered in various entities as a student and thereafter continued volunteering in Organizations as member of Covesa (Congolese Veterinarians in Southern Africa), General Secretary of Nsalasani, Chairman of the Board at Focas (Forum des Organisations Congolese en Afrique du Sud), and as founder of MaisonCongo NPO with one of its flagship project called CongoMatric. Mrs Mwanyebeka Justine Bitumba Member of the Board JBitumba@coopcongo.com | Mrs MJ Bitumba was born in Bomongo (Equateur, DRC), completed her primary school and secondary school in Mbandaka Equateur (DRC). She graduated from Institut Supérieur de Techniques Médicales/ISTM in Kinshasa (DRC). She worked as Nutritionist Dietitian at the department of Pediatrics at Cliniques Universitaires de Kinshasa (1990-1993). She Worked as a volunteer for a year at Agriculture Research Council (ARC), Roodeplaat South Africa as an administrator at DRC embassy (Sept 2006-Mar 2008). She also worked as a Clinical Research Associate 1 at Pfizer South Africa (Apr 2008-Apr 2011) and a Clinical Research Associate 2 at Quintiles South Africa (May 2011-Apr 2012). She is currently a Clinical Site Manager at PAREXEL International since May 2012. She is married and mother of four children. Ir Ngamayamu Munduku Member of the Board Munduku@coopcongo.com | Ir Munduku was born in Kimpese (DRC) and completed his primary education in Kinshasa (DRC, 1977) and his secondary education at Institut Lisanga in Kinshasa (DRC, 1986). He obtained his agricultural degree at the Africa University (Harare, Zimbabwe) in 1994. He spent time as a rural development volunteer in Kikwit, DRC. He has accumulated extensive experience in different senior technical and management positions in the agricultural sector in South Africa and Zimbabwe. His professional career also includes several consultancy missions in the African continent and Europe for both private, governmental and non-governmental organisations. He is currently a Senior Agricultural Advisor to the Adam Smith International project in the DRC. He is also an agricultural consultant and owner of the agribusiness company “Reseau Commercial et Agricole” (RCA) in DRC. Ir Munduku is married and has two children. He carries various successfully delivered terms as a leader both in church and the community. Ir Munduku is serving as a member of the Board of the Cooperative CoopCongo. |
Mr Okitapenge Utshudi Ndjeka Secretary of the Board Ndjeka@coopcongo.com | Mr Eddy Okitapenge Utshudi Ndjeka, known as Eddy Ndjeka, was born in Kananga, DR Congo. He completed his primary school at College Imara in Lubumbashi and at EP1 Ngaliema in Kinshasa (DR Congo). He went through his secondary school at Institut Bobokoli in Kinshasa, at Wembonyama high school in the Sankuru, at College Etete (Perseverance) in Djalo City, Sankuru (DRC) in order to complete it with a senior school certificate at Institut Badiadingi, Kinshasa in 1990 (DRC). He graduated from Tshwane University of Technology (Pretoria, RSA) in 1997 with a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering. He also holds a Project Management certification through Varsity College, Sandton (RSA). He then worked as an engineer at SIEMENS until 2000 where he was part of the project team installing the GSM cellular phone in Zambia at CELTEL (Today’s Airtel), also installing the first GSM in the Republic of Congo (Brazzaville) after civil war in 1998. He joined Ericson in October 2000, which was the largest Telecommunication Company in the world at the time with 45% of the market where he had the opportunity of delivering on projects across the African continent and Europe (the Republic of Ireland, Germany, India, Indonesia, DR Congo, Uganda, Tanzania, Spain and many other Countries). He was appointed as the head of Operations Assurance in the Republic of Chad for Ericsson in 2012, looking after Airtel as a Customer. He naturally became a certified senior engineer at Ericsson after successfully completing many trainings and projects. In 2015 he joined ICT WORX (Woodmead, RSA) where he worked as an ICT trainer until October the same year, then in November his family bought a restaurant franchise from CTFM (Cape Town Fish Market) which he operated with his wife until October 2016. Mr Ndjeka has been self-employed as an ICT Consultant since then, working among others with Ubulhe Telecoms as sales manager and an ICT trainer at Ikusasa technology in Midrand, Johannesburg (RSA). As a volunteer, He serves as Treasurer of MaisonCongo and Chairman of FC Real Junior football club in Midrand, Johannesburg. Ir Ted Baketa Makanda Member of the Board Baketa@coopcongo.com | Ir Baketa Born in Kinshasa (DRC) attended his Primary Education in Sarreguemines (France) and Ecole Sur Mesure (DRC) as well as his Secondary Education at Ecole Sur Mesure(DRC) and Clampham High School (South Africa). He obtained his Engineering university qualification (Mechatronics) at Tecknikon Pretoria (now Tshwane University of Technology) in 2001 and went through the Iscor Training Centre. He worked at Laboratory & Air Purification as a Systems Programmer & Project Designer (2004) and has been at R&G Sheet metal since 2007 where he has been performing as Programmer (2007 to 2015), Senior Project Designer (2007 to Date), and Account manager (2007 to Date). In the community he has been a Church Elder, Intersession Leader and Member of the Pastoral council. He is married with 2 girls.
